Wikipedia is a wonderful resource, a superb mine of information that's of enormous educational benefit, providing you don't mind an encyclopaedia where the entry on Luke Skywalker is longer than the one on Johannes Gutenberg*. But do you ever worry that it might just be a bit… wordy?
Enter the solution to your problems. Ten Word Wiki is described as 'an Encyclopedia for the ADD generation', in which every entry uses up just ten words - no more, no less.
As such, Amy Winehouse is defined as 'Singer told to go to rehab. Maybe should have gone.' Dogs, meanwhile, are described as 'Not cats. Stupid. The internet is not made of them.' And Steve Jobs may be disappointed to discover the iPad gets written up as: 'Essentially a giant $500 iPod Touch. No Flash, no porn.'
Ten Word Wiki also has a fairly good go at more abstract concepts, including 'nice sit down' (defined as a 'pleasant experience to enjoy with tea and maybe a biscuit') and 'incomplete sentence' ('An incomplete sentence is one that cuts off abruptly in').
